Southwest Florida Christian Academy Class of 2013 Parent Meeting
Student Activities For Your Senior Year
Important events to keep in mind • You must get your senior portraits taken over the summer! They are due by Friday, September 7. • We have prepared a handout with guidelines for the portraits. • Please begin working now on getting your baby and elementary/middle school age pictures in digital format. • In November the rep from Herff-Jones will come to the school and take orders for graduation cap, gown, announcements and all other sorts of Class of 2013 memorabilia!
T-shirts, key chains, frames, etc should arrive by January if ordered at school. Online orders are delivered with the announcements (and therefore tend to arrive too late for the students to enjoy them). • Announcements arrive usually by mid-March. • Senior Breakfasts will happen quarterly – parental involvement needed for 1st & 4th quarter. • It’s never too early to start working on your Graduation Board!
Graduation! • Friday, May 17, 2013. • Seating will be by alphabetical order, with the exception of the winning bidder of the seating at the auction. • Grad Fee of $200 due by the end of the first semester (December, just before break). • DVD and official picture will be available to purchase for a nominal fee.
Senior Class Trip • March 18-22, 2013 • Students will be given two trip options to vote on • Estimated cost not exceed $1400 per student • Fundraising ideas/involvement needed • We will have a school wide Pizza Day to benefit all members of the senior class going on the senior trip
