  2. Why do we have a dress code??The Spartan dress code promotes: • safety • Personal hygiene • Proper Academic Environment • Spartan Pride!!! Remember, what may be appropriate to wear on the weekend is not always appropriate for school!

  3. please wear shoes in our halls!!*for safety reasons, some classes don’t allow open toe shoes, check your course disclosure!!

  4. Shorts, skirts, dresses should be just above the knee or lower. • Here are some examples of where the length should be.

  6. Lets save these ones for the weekend!!

  7. If you are going to wear shorts over your leggings, please make sure that they are the right length and not too short!! Ok!!! Not ok! Too short!!

  8. If your leggings are sheer or see through…You’re gonna have to change them!!

  9. Lets keep those pj’s and slippers at home!! Spartans don’t come to school in pj’s!! Nice pj’s and slippers…..for your house!!!!!!!!!

  10. Please keep those nicklines up and shoulders covered!!Thank you!!!!These are some examples of what not to wear!!

  11. if you’re going to wear something like this, put a shirt with sleeves on underneath!! GO SOUTH!!!!

  13. Keep those pants pulled up!! Spartans don’t sag!!!!-we don’t want to see your underwear!! Pull ‘em up!!!!!!!!

  14. Please don’t wear anything that promotes drugs, alcohol, gangs, or violence…. Spartans promote excellence!

  15. If you’re wondering….don’t wear this stuff!!These are not Spartan approved!!!!

  16. Since these styles are always changing, we may have to add to the “do not wear list” because of the brand or logo’s meaning. If we add it, we’ll let you know!!!! These are some brands that do not show Spartan pride!!!! Stay classy Spartans!!

  17. If you have too many rips in your pants, they need to be changed!! Too many rips in these jeans!!!

  18. These jeans are ok!! Not too many rips and no skin is showing!! Spartans rule!!!!

  19. Keep the hats, headbands, scarves and bandannas outside….we don’t wear them in the school! Cool headgear…but don’t wear ‘emat school!!!

  20. Extreme hair and/or makeup can be distracting to other Spartans at school. Don’t be a distraction!! These are definitely distracting!!!

  21. Jewelry and accessories should also be Spartan approved!! Yes!!!!! No!!!!!!!!

  22. We will have dress up days this year! These will be the days that You can wear Spartan approved costumes!!!!! Make it happen cap’n!!!

  23. Extreme facial piercings can be distracting, leave those studs and spikes at home!!! These are extreme!!

  24. South Ogden Junior High School reserves the right to prohibit any items of clothing or appearance which may cause a disturbance or distraction to orderly school environment. This includes banning colors if necessary. Attention!!!!!! Please read this!! Make sure you understand what it means!

  25. What will happen if you violate the dress code? First Offense: Student warned and required to change. Incident recorded on discipline tracker. Second Offense: Student warned and required to change. Parent notified and incident recorded on discipline tracker. Second hat violation results in hat confiscated. (Parent will have to pick up hat.) Third Offense: Student suspended for one day. Parent notified. Incident recorded on discipline tracker. Further violations will result in extended periods of suspension from school.

  26. Please follow the dress code! This will help you, and those around you to be successful!! (and stay out of the principals office!!!) P.S. don’t forget to brush your teeth!!!!!!
