The provided PDF link is not working in the existing version. • Malaria is a serious health risk that we can face in our work • As our business continues to grow in areas where malaria is present (Malarial Areas), it makes sense that ERM employees understand: • What malaria is and how is spread • Where in the world malaria is present • What we will do as ERMers to prevent being infected by malaria • What to do if a malaria infection is suspected • For this reason, ERM has formalized our stance on malaria awareness and prevention through the Malaria Awareness and Prevention Policy Open the Malaria Policy (PDF)
Malaria Awareness & Prevention Training • The requirements of the policy apply when work is being conducted in a “Malarial Area” and includes: • Travel • Office Work • Field Work • Malaria awareness and prevention training is a policy requirement • The training series that satisfies this policy requirement consists of two parts: • This module (the policy and determining Malarial Areas • The Malaria for Travelers and Expatriartes course (also available on ERM Academy)

Employee Responsibilities Note to Elaine: Please check the audio capture. • Requirements • Complete this training series • Get information about your destination • Understanding limitations of chemoprophylaxis • Take measures to prevent being bitten by mosquitoes • Be alert for any symptoms of possible malaria and seeking medical attention at the first suspicion of malaria • Understand that malaria can develop up to 12 months after being in a Malarial Area • Recommendations (strongly encouraged) • Get country-specific advice from a medical professional prior to deployment to a Malarial Area • Follow the medical professional’s advice regarding chemoprophylaxis
