  9. There will be 7.7 million tickets for the Olympic Games and 1.1 million tickets for the Paralympics. That’s a lot of visitors from all over the world. What do they need to know about London to enjoy their stay?

  12. It may be obvious to you but... When you are introduced to someone, it is polite to shake hands. The foods we don't eat with a knife, fork or spoon include sandwiches, crisps and fruit. People generally queue when waiting for a bus. It is ok to eat and drink something while walking down the street, unless you want to seem posh.

  13. Your mission Design a leaflet for foreign visitors to tell them about London life and London people. You may want to tell them about: Where to stay transport Eating out Queuing pubs traditional English food

  14. Please do not tell them: In England we eat fish and chips with chocolate sauce. If you pass a policeman show your respect by tapping him on the bum. You will only be allowed into McDonalds in full evening dress.

  15. So now what do you think about languages If you think what you did today was very useful, very important and lots of fun, please write your name or initials on a green sticky note.
