To their credit they do have unique features and make use of technologies such as CIFS and NFS data caching. Other techniques include compression, data deduplication, reduced latency, QOS and coalescing packets of data to conserve bandwidth. www.wanos.co

  2. Wan optimization is a must when a user, whether it is a small company or an enterprise with global operations, must have operational efficiencies at reduced cost. Though some tools such as wide area file services used to cache data may not be available in open source, there are other options available that provide solutions comparable to proprietary, high priced systems.
