VET system in Scotland and wider UK • Systems in Scotland and the rest of the UK are slightly different • However, principles are basically the same • Role of Sector Councils are the same • Vocational qualifications are called ‘Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) • Range of qualifiactions available for delivery in colleges (Vocational Schools) or in the workplace
