Community Outreach Projects Get Ready 5 (GR5) • Originally developed for students in Marin County • Uses the study of Geology and the effects of earthquakes • Prompts students to develop a family emergency plan • Works through ESL preparedness • Informational materials and a website: kidsgetready.org developed

  7. Community Outreach Projects Learn.Lead.Lift. • City of Oakland in partnership with regional VOAD • Addresses challenges of underserved populations • Messaging campaigns • Go Kit for citizens • Political leadership support • Continuing funds from City

  8. Statewide Debris Project • The Bay Area and City of Los Angeles collaborated • 2 workshops held in LA to discuss coordination plans • Statewide workshop conducted in the Bay Area with participation from NY Debris Management Task Force • Web-based Just in Time Debris Management training program developed

Regional Logistics Project • Logistics planning for region and three core cites • Support a national standard for common operations in a catastrophic event • Working closely with NY-NJ-CT-PA RCPT to use same templates • Replicating twoFOGs, EOC Manuals, and Logistics Center Concept of Operations plan • Just in Time training will use the NY-NJ-CT-PA training sessions as a standard • UASI funds used to further develop Bay Area Logistics Plan and Critical Lifelines Restoration

Training and Exercises • Regional Training & Exercise • 65 classes for 2055 students in 2012-13 • Urban Shield • Annual Full Scale Exercise • Regional Mass Fatality Exercise • EOC Functional Exercise • Disaster Mortuary Operations & Family Assistance Center Demonstration • 6 Table Top Exercises • Transportation/Evacuation, Mass Care/Shelter, Donations, Volunteer, Interim Housing, Debris Removal

  11. Going Forward • Sustainment Plan • Full Adoption of RCPGP Regional Plans • Annual exercise of RCPGP plans • Sustaining RCPGP programs thru use of UASI funds • All Hazard Regional Training and Exercise Program
