  3. THE GUARDIAN • Chapter 1 • Josiah • hears wolves for the first time. • Captain tells them about the wolves • Chapter 2 • Josiah meets Indian • Josiah eardrops on fathers conversation

  4. THE GUARDIAN • Chapter 3 • Josiah goes on wolf drive • Aunt and cousin are coming • Chapter 4 • Aunt and cousin arrive • Josiah is told to keep an eye on his cousin

  5. THE GUARDIAN • Chapter 5 • Josiah climbs high up in a tree and proves he can climb higher than anyone else • Rebecca mimics squirrel perfectly • Chapter 6 • Josiah discovers that his cousin likes to ask questions • Joseph tells everyone that he will be married in a couple of weeks
