  2. ReleaseNews On July 15, 2012, MediaMind released its new version of the Video Studio (version V2.5.2). We hope you benefit from the changes and look forward to working with you in the future. As always, your feedback is welcome and appreciated. Feel free to contact us at mediamindtraining@mediamind.com.

  3. Agenda • What is Video Studio? • Creating an Automatic Package • Creating a Manual Package • Creating Multi Packages • Modifying Existing Packages

  4. What is Video Studio? • The main goal of the Video Studio is to align the source movie with the end user, according to their browser, player and bandwidth. • Video Studio enables the MediaMind user to update an existing video package or create a new one (single or multiple). • Each video package consists of multiple video assets (different encoded files that were generated from the same source).

  5. Supported Source and Encoding Formats • Video Studio supports the following video input formats:AVI, MOV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC-1, WMV, 3GPP, OGV • Video Studio supports the following audio input formats:AAC, AC3, MP3, WAV, WMA, AIF • Video Studio encoder supports the following output formats: F4V – Flash 9 [H264], FLV [V8 On2 VP6] , FLV [V7 Sorenson], WMV & H.264 (MP4).

  6. Creating Video Package • There are three ways to create a video package: • Add an automatic package • Add a manual package • Add multiple packages

  7. Creating Auto Package • You need to supply a source file and select desired options. • For a basic package, Video Studio generates the following encoding streams (unless you specify otherwise): • You can keep or modify the source file dimensions. In addition, there is an option to keep the video aspect ratio. • When you save the file, a message is displayed that says you will receive an email when the job is completed.

  8. Advanced Video Settings • You can modify encoding settings and add additional streams.

  9. Video Stream Summary • The video summary includes a summary of a selected video stream inside the grid and includes the following attributes: The number of audio channels, either mono (1) or dual (2) The audio codec: AAC, MP3, etc. The type of file format – MPEG4, FLV, F4V, WMV – and the associated preset. The video codec: H.264, On2 VP6, etc.A codec is a device or software that compresses and decompresses digital data. The video encoding method: CBR – constant bit rate, VBR – variable bit rate, One Pass, Two Pass, etc. The video frame rate in frames per second (fps) The audio sampling frequency (between 20 Hz to 20,000 Khz) The audio encoding rate in kilobits per second (kbps) The combined video and audio bit rate for the file The video encoding rate in megabits per second (Mbps)

  10. Creating a Manual Package • You can use your own streams instead of the Video Studio encoding services. • You can add 1 or more files that are applicable to our packaging settings (supported Encoder, file size). • You can change the Video Name or Enable/Disable a full page preview .

  11. Creating Multiple Packages • You can supply a package base name (same base name for all generated packages).Package name = <Base_Name>_<Source_FileName>. • For any given source file [video asset] the Video Studio will generate an equivalent package using the following streams:

  12. Multiple Packages - Advanced Settings • Same as regular package with the following limitations: • Settings will be applied to all packages. • No Weight or File Name columns available. • Dimensions are the same as the source. • With appropriate permissions, you can modify encoding settings, add additional streams or use your own streams instead of Video Studio’s encoding services.

  13. Modify Existing Package • This capability is enabled for users with permissions. You can select an existing package and can replace a specific file or switch the source file. • Manual Packages - manually changes the video streams. • Auto Package - replaces the source file and regenerates the package or adds video streams based on the existing source. • We will replace/add/delete the modified packages only upon a successful operation. In any other case, (re-encode) failure, we will keep serving with the ‘old’ package.

  14. Modify Existing Package - Duplicate & Preview • Duplicate Package • You can duplicate an existing package. • Upon duplication the new package will be generated with a new package ID (all source package settings will be duplicated). • Preview Package • You can preview existing package content, review all multi-streams and view their results. • You can select a default stream for ‘ad-sharing’ (by default - the best quality video, unless you specified otherwise).

  15. Backwards Compatibility • Video Studio V2 will support the ability to read and modify current system packages created with Video Studio V1.

  16. General Validations • Video Studio validates the following before generating a package: • Source file is aligned to the Video Encoder capabilities. • Encoding output is aligned to the Video Encoder capabilities.

  17. General Validations • Default Package: • Source Quality is less < System/user defined quality. • At least 1 single stream is created. • Verify if the defined stream is valid (file format, length, size). • Maximum of four assets per encoder with different bit-streams. • Unique name per each video stream. • If a package is being used by an ad, can’t delete the package. • Stream size will not exceed 10MB.

  18. Emails • You receive an email when: • Package/s were created successfully/partially (in case of partial success that meets our pass criteria). • Error email - refers either to encoding errors or to over-sized video streams

  19. Default Presets • Video Studio includes the following presets per each encoder and its associated codec (If FPS is not given the source files FPS are used):
