Case Study 1st June 2010 Dead Body (Ilasa) 10:27 am A caller reported the case of a male corpse lying between Ilasa and Iyana-Isolo Bus-stop, opposite Alabukun Company, Apapa-Oshodi Expressway. According to several callers, the man was knocked down by a car and died instantly. It was relayed to State Environment and Monitoring Unit. Accident Anthony 7:11 am There was a hit and run accident, with a casualty lying by the BRT line after the bridge at Anthony Bus stop, inward Maryland. Both pedestrians and motorist said the it was causing obstruction on the road. It was immediately relayed to lasambus. Mr. Yemi from the BRT Monitoring Unity called from the scene. It was finally resolved by the rescue team. 2nd June 2010 Fire Outbreak (Ojota) 2:33 pm Residents of Olorunfunmi Street, Philips Junction, Ojota and passers-by called in to report that house 41 on the said street was engulfed in flames and that the fire might affect other buildings on the street. The State Fire Service was alerted of this and the fire was put out quickly. Robbery (Gowon Estate) 1:15 am Robbery at Obenezer close, off Eturere street, Moshalashi bus stop, Gowon Estate, Egbeda. The exact number of the house was not given but callers calling to inform us on sporadic gun shots from the neighborhood. It was relayed to RRS team. 7 6 7
Case Study 5th June 2010 Robbery (Okokomaiko) 1:49am An ongoing robbery operation at No. 6, Alex Uzowuro Street, New Mebamo Area, by Cele-Nizer Bus Stop, Okokomaiko was reported by more than 5 residents of the above-named street between 1am and 2am and it was relayed to RRS. 6th June 2010 Accident (Fadeyi) 11:55 am An accident involving a bike and a Car with two Casualties on the bridge linking Fadeyi to Ojuelegba was reported to the Lagos State Emergency Service. The accident was said to have caused a heavy traffic along the way. The incidence was immediately reported the LASAMBUS team, the LASTMA officials were also present to decongest the traffic situation. 12th June 2010 Accident (3rd Mainland Bridge) 8:36pm A car ran over a bike man on third main land bridge, froniyanaworo inward Adekunle. The numbers of casualties were unspecified by callers. It resulted to heavy traffic situation.Therrs team were standby at the scene. We informed lasambus, they came to rescue the victims. People kept calling complaining on the traffic situation which was later resolved by lastma. 7 6 7
Case Study 16th June 2010 Fire Outbreak(Mushin) 10:07pm A building engulfed in flames was reported from Akinpitan street, beside Mushin local council, off Palm Avenue, Mushin. Several persons called from the scene to inform us about the incident. Neighbors try to extinguish the fire all to no avail. However, the Lagos State Fire Service was prompt to put out the fire. 20th June 2010 Medical (Bariga) 5:08pm Concerned passer-by at Adekanmi Street, Alubarika Bus Stop, close to the Canal in Bariga called in to report that an unconscious pregnant woman needs medial attention and it was immediately relayed to LASAMBUS. 22nd June 2010 Fire Outbreak (Ajah) 11:17am A fire outbreak at Mobil Road, beside Wonder City Church, Ikota 1st Gate on Lekki-Ajah Road was reported by people around the area and it was immediately relayed to the State Fire Service. 7 6 7
Case Study 26th June 2010 Collapsed Building (Alakuko) 04:16pm Residents of Ire-Akari Estate Isolo called in at about 4pm that a building at10, Ilori Street, by St. Mary Bus-stop, had collapsed and the residents trapped in it. The incidence was immediately relayed to the State Fire Service. 28th June 2010 Medical (Apapa Wharf) 12:07pm More than seven callers called in around 12pm, when they noticed a pregnant woman looking drugged and dropped by an unidentified car opposite Union Bank Plc, by Nigerian Port Authority in Apapa-Wharf. The incidence was immediately reported to the RRS officers as well as the LASAMBUS team. 7 6 7
