The Multiple Sides of Reviewing • There are two different ways to review a piece of writing: • REVISING is looking at the IDEAS • EDITING focuses on the MECHANICS of your writing
Do it right! • You should NOT try to do your revising and editing at the same time! • The human brain can only focus well on ONE action at a time. • You will find more errors and create a better final piece if you do your revising SEPARATELY from your editing.
