  5. Brucella lab infectie • J Hosp Infection 2012; Laboratory-acquired brucellosis in Turkey • 667 medewerkers: 38 brucella opgelopen op lab • Risico : werken met Brucella, manRisico : LAF kast, handschoenen, werkervaring • Andere Turkse studie: kans van 8% per medewerker/jaar

  6. Brucella • Koorts, algehele malaise, artralgie, gastro-intestinaal, neurologisch, hoesten en dyspnoe

  7. MML dag 1 • 4 medewerkers at risk • Profylaxe (doxycycline, rifampycine, co-trimoxazol) • Counseling en voorschrijven door wie? • Arbo probleem: bedrijfsarts

Stappenplan • Terug naar de basis; is het echt een Brucella:Kliniek (longca, terminaal) pleit tegenGroei te snel; op labtechnisch gebied ook twijfel • Confirmatie aanvragen; Malditof Velp: mag nietPCR RIVM: volgende ochtend • Afwegen pro / contra profylaxe (cave IVF) • Besloten te wachten tot volgende ochtend • Follow up regelen: serologisch onderzoek 0 en 24 maanden • Inlichten RvB → Inspectie

  10. MML dag 2 • Confirmatietest RIVM: - • Alles afgeblazen • In werkoverleg opnieuw wijzen op belang voorzorgsmaatregelen
