Salient Features • 1500 to 2000 Sq.mt a day of construction achieved with basic machineries, saving fuel • Aggregates usage was reduced by over 70% in the design making it an eco friendly technology. Instead of 390m3 of metal , only 97m3 of metal was used • GSB layer was eliminated, transportation of material is reduced by using local soil, there by saving on fuel and emissions from vehicles. Transportation of 405m3 of GSB material was avoided by using TerraZyme • Savings per KM of road constructed using TerraZyme is approximately 1.5 Lakhs per KM

Conclusion • Roads built using TerraZyme have been built in 2 districts of Odisha under PMGSY scheme • More than 15kms of road work completed before the monsoons. • Few road were used without any black topping during the monsoons.These roads performed like all weather roads. • There was no damage like potholes , rutting or washboarding through the entire monsoon season
