  1. How to Deal with Difficult People During Travel?

  2. The world is full of people who could irritate or even offend everyone around them at the drop of a hat. You see them at malls, in restaurants, at work, or even at San Jose airport parking off site. In most such situations, you can choose to simply ignore and walk away. But when you are travelling, you are either at an airport waiting area where you have to stay whether you like it or not, or worse, you might be inside your plane, which gives you even less space to avoid the offending individual. If something like this happens to you, then it is useful for you to know how to deal with difficult people during travel.

  3. The first rule of thumb is to keep your cool, whatever the provocation. Such people often thrive in a situation where they are able to incite the others to such an extent that some harsh words get exchanged, after which they wave the flag of self-pity and create a scene. Second, such people might sometimes have something playing on the back of their mind which is causing them to behave in that fashion with you. It is no use asking, because that would infuriate them more. Try to take cognizance of your surroundings (flight delays, air conditioning not working, the local football team lost a close match the previous day etc.) and understand what could be the trigger. If the person looks familiar, then try to quickly recollect whether you mistakenly shoved him earlier in the day or cut ahead in front of him at the LAX parking lot.
