Classwork • MUST BE COMPLETED BY END OF CLASS PERIOD. • Write a 1-3-1 (5 paragraph) Essay on the topic provided on graphic organizer. • Must have at least 3 answers per section. • PLEASE WRITE CLEARLY AND NEATLY IN BLUE, BLACK, OR PENCIL. • STAPLE YOUR GRAPHIC ORGANIZER AND ESSAY TOGETHER. Norms when describing people: • Point out the person and describe his/her most noticeable features. • Make sure listener understands who you are talking about. • If person is present or insight: Raised eyebrows and use “SEE” sign, in the direction of the person. Then use rule of describing. • If not present: Raised eyebrows and sign “Know”. Then use rule or describing and, where the person might have seen them last.

  12. Classifiers • The purpose of the classifier is to provide additional information about ____nouns___ and __verbs__ such as: location, kind of action, size, shape and manner.  • ASL has many classifier handshapes to represent specific categories or class of objects.
