Our precast detailing team has worked on a large variety of precast building projects which are partially or fully made of precast concrete building components. We are continuously improving our working methods to achieve error-free precast concrete shop drawings.<br>In every precast detailing project, it is our objective to achieve 100% correct output. To achieve this target we have developed working methods, training programs and checking procedures to continuously improve the quality of our work.<br>

  2. Precast detailing Precast buildings are made of precast concrete pieces of various sizes and shapes which are fabricated using special machinery and equipment. Later the precast concrete pieces aretransported to the construction site where they are assembled by cranes which will lift the precast pieces to their final position. Structural design calculations and detailed drawings of each precast piece have to be prepared for the purpose of precast production, transportation and construction. Page 1

  3. Precast detailing The precast detail drawings are based on the contract documents and should contain usable information for precast production, handling and erection. Furthermore all information for the architect and engineer have to be shown on the precast detail drawings which enables them to check the geometry and the relation to the rest of the structure. Unique identifying tags (called piece tickets or element marks) shall be assigned by the precast engineering team to each precast component. Also a complete set of building plans, elevations and sections (erection drawings) shall be prepared indicating the exact geometry and location of each precast piece and its connections. Page 2

  4. Precast detailing • Precast detail drawings are prepared by draftsmen in 2D CAD or with 3D modelling software. This process is called precast detailing and it is an essential and important part of precast construction. Any errors in the precast shop drawings can cause difficulties at the construction site which can escalate the building costs. • Generally the precast detailing team shall prepare the following shop drawings : • Precast erection plans and elevations • Precast erection details • Precast element form details • Precast element reinforcement details • Bar bending schedules • Embed plans and anchor layouts • Hardware details Page 3
