IPPC Directive • Status of IPPC Transposition Law on IPPC (expected to be approved within this year) • Stakeholder involvement Industries and other stakeholders are involved in the drafting of the IPPC legislation, and their contributions have been taken into consideration. • Institutional structures for IPPC law implementation Structures are in place at central level but not on the local level. • Inventory of IPPC Installations A rough and approximate inventory of IPPC installations has been made and the number of installations are approximately 30. • Timetable for IPPC Permitting There is no strict timetable for granting integrated permits for installations • Best Available Techniques There are neither tools nor a strategy for following the developments of BAT • Competencies and skills for issuing integrated permits Plans are being prepared to improve the skills needed for issuing integrated permits.
Large Combustion Plants Directive • Transposition of LCP Directive – Partly transposed • Inventory of LCP installations There are 9 LCP installation in Kosovo • National Emission Reduction Plan, set ELVs or both Both National Emission Reduction Plan and ELVs in place • Competent Authorities Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning • Systems to determine total emission values from existing LCPs There are no systems in place

Waste Landfill Directive • Transposition of Waste Landfill Directive – Has been transposed • Number of landfills- There are 35 landfills • Landfill classification -26 municipality landfills, 9 industrial landfills • Strategy for reduction of BMW to landfills At the moment there is no approved strategy, it is expected that MESP will finalize the strategy about the administration of waste in Kosovo during the year 2009. • Target for reduction of BMW to landfills Not yet determined • Criteria for waste to be accepted to landfills Yes, only in landfills of municipal waste • Waste NOT accepted Waste not accepted in the landfill are determined by Article 9 of the Administrative Directive about administration of waste landfills • Landfill permits requisites -According to the Directive there are 9 municipal waste landfills (non- hazardous) • Landfill fees Tariffs for acceptance of waste in landfills are determined by the Regulatory Office for Water and Waste (according to this the average price is 7 Euro/tonne
Waste Incineration Directive • Transposition of Waste Incineration Directive • Has been transposed • Number of incineration and co-incineration plants • 4(four) incinerator plants • No. of permits issued • 3 (three) environmental consents have been issued for three incinerator plants • Emission Limit Values • There is no Monitoring of EVL
