EURROFORCE

This proposal aims to increase awareness of the role of research reactors (RRs) and their multipurpose capabilities, provide hands-on training for safety culture development, and promote the production of radioisotopes and materials. The project will create a roadmap for maintaining and developing the RR fleet, as well as a model for coordinating the exploitation of RRs and optimizing their irradiation time. Major deliverables include a comparison of current and forecasted needs for radioisotopes, a blueprint for overall RR strategy in Europe, and a plan for coordinating RR networks and international organizations. The project has a budget of 1 million euros and a duration of 3 years.
