  3. Standard Work Process Detailed definition of the most efficient method to produce a product (or perform a service) at a balanced flow to achieve a desired output rate. It breaks down the work into elements, which are sequenced, organized and repeatedly followed.

  4. Team Overview • WHO: Sales Support Team ~ Team needed to put together standard work process for each of your regions. The purpose is to be able to assist each other at any time in any absence. • WHAT: Supply as much information for your accounts that you can give. Try to avoid giving very little information. • WHY: Each team member will complete all the information that is important to your region that would assist another to follow the instructions and complete any task in your absence. • Team consists of each Sales Support Representative for each Region • Derek – West • Karen – Northwest • Carri – Southwest • Carrie – Central • Tammy – Northeast • Jessica – MidAtlantic • Janet – Corporate Gifts • Kari - Golf

  5. Reward System • Extra Benefits – Any extra benefits help as a Morale Booster • Catered Lunches • Special Events/Perks – Margarita Cart/Bloody Mary Cart • Wine & Cheese Tasting /Beer & Pretzel Tasting • Luau & Christmas Party • Monetary Benefits – Benefits those that work hard and doesn’t recognize those who don’t • Contests with Prizes • Verbal Recognition – It is good to be recognized for doing a great job! • Great Job Notes or Emails • Mentioning of a particular great job on a Review • Downfall to reward system is that everyone thinks they deserve it and there are a few who definitely do not.

  6. Personality/Perception/Employee Attitudes • This group has several strong personality types which makes for an interesting group. • There were two employee attitudes we had to deal with that did their job and only their job not being a big team player. • These were the members that had to be coached along to give as much information as needed. • The team leader was a great help in making sure everyone stayed on task and did what was expected of them. • In an ideal world this group would have worked together as a team with good employee attitudes and perception.

  7. Motivational Needs/Processes/Applications • The motivational needs for this team group project is to get all the information needed to help anyone that would need to do that job. • A process was set up as to what was required from each individual in the team to supply as much information as possible for their particular region. • The issues that we had were a couple individuals not supplying enough information. Therefore a guideline had to be put into place to show everyone what was expected of them. • In a perfect world this information would have been supplied at the beginning instead of waiting for the two people to show that they were not getting the big picture. • The entire application needed to be correct to have an end result that would benefit everyone.

  8. Stress/Conflict • In a perfect world we would all just get along perfectly with no conflict working as a team. • However, there seemed to be some resentment for the two that did not pull their weight causing guidelines to be set and extra work for everyone. • Several employees were busier than others at times with their daily work, which caused stress in completing the task.

  9. Team Dynamics • Communication was a huge factor in the team group project. • Everyone worked on their own, even though it was a group project. • The ultimate goal was a finished project that will benefit all. • Each team members work was a good as their retention and details of their region. Ultimate Goal = Standard Work Process • Goal Achieved • Benefiting Everyone • Worth all the effort
