  3. Paul, Andy and Richard • Paul videoed lesson • Andy and Richard took the role of coaches to discuss lesson • Discussion moved onto 'How to coach' between us all

  4. Linda & Becky • Blue route informal observations • Looking at Blooms taxonomy and connectives • Both taken the roles of coach after observations

  5. Moving forwards • Feedback from group • Extremely worthwhile & useful • Can be difficult to 'model' coaching scenarios • Better to use in real situations • Continuing to practice and develop coaching skills

  6. Moving forwards • Cath - working within English department inc. non-specialists • Andy/Richard - working with trainee teachers • Claire - as above inc. non- specialists • Becky/Linda - develop current work in through more formal observations

  7. Opportunities • Looking for a small number of staff to join • Look at coaching in more detail • Develop skills • Help us move forward as a school
