  2. Use the background Most studios offer a variety of backdrops, all with different designs and colours. Use these to your advantage and match the background to fit the subject. Compose a theme Every photoshoot has a theme in mind, whether the image you’re going for is a classic or contemporary style. Inform your participants/subjects about the theme so they match it with their attire and props.

  3. Control the lighting In photography, lighting is an important factor for the quality of the image, so utilise the lights around you to enhance the subject. Use props only when needed Not all photoshoots require props, especially if you’re going for a minimalist theme. Use props only when needed, and instead, use the background to your advantage.
