  2. Celebrations • They set of fireworks to keep Ravana away • After worshiping they gambled • Diwali is when king ramas coronation was celebrated in Ayodhya after his epic war • They lit diva lamps

  3. Lakshmi • She is beautiful and wears a red dress • Married mishmo and made him guardian of the world • She had 4 arms representing 4 rituals • Goddess of fortune and success • Raised arms and helped people • In pictures she usually had one or more elephants around her

  4. Rama and Sita • Rama plans to marry sita • Ravanakidnaps sita • In the beginning prince rama was banished to live in the forest • Sita is a beautiful princess rama

  5. What is diwali • They share sweets • It lasts a week • Homes are cleaned and windows are opened. • Doorways are hung with torans of mango leaves and marigolds.

Poem The sweet smell of flowers the array of colours diwali is here fire crackers are heard candles are lit children play presents are given pray to the gods diwali is here joy joy joy we can play wid are cousins and eat so many sweets we can fire crackers we can worship goddess lakshmi diwali is here deep jalty jagmagate rahin deep jalty jagmagate rahin hum aapko aap hame yaad aate rahin jab takzindagi hia dua hia hamari aap chand ki tarah zagmagate rahin happy diwali
