Instincts • A behavior that an organism inherits. • They are passed from parents to their offspring • Ex: building shelters, caring for young, and finding food
Environmental Influences • Environment: everything in an organism's surrounding that affects • Ex: water, soil, air, weather, landform, and other living things • If the environment changes it can cause the organism to change • Ex: fences cause animals to have to move and find new resources
