  3. Fission power • Fission Reactor • Enriched Uranium-235 • Induced fission creates heat and radiation • Control Rods: Use to keep reaction at critical mass but prevent a meltdown

  4. Fusion • Benefits over fission: Large fuel source, less radioactive byproduct, safer reaction • Experimental reactors are in use • Challenges of fusion: Overcoming natural repulsion of atoms
