Keyed IPv6 Tunnels • draft-mkonstan-keyed-ip-tunnel-00 • Uses L2TPv3 over IPv6 encapsulation • But assigns an IPv6 address to each PW endpoint • Session ID no longer required (but present in the encaps) • Can interoperate with systems requiring session ID • 64 bit cookie used to prevent packet spoofing attacks • L2TPv3 control plane is optional • If no control plane configure mapping of AC to local/remote IPv6 address and local/remote cookie and use Ethernet (client layer) OAM for circuit monitoring • Comments welcomed on L2TPEXT mailing list
