7 petitions-Our Father • Petition is a request for grace or blessing/models of Christian prayer • 1.Hallowed be thy Nameasking for our words radiate respect and reverence for God • 2. Thy Kingdom Come asking for fulfillment of reign of God/ strength to be a sign of God on earth • 3. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven we ask for obedient and trusting heart so our desire do not get in the way of God’s will • 4. Give us this Day our Daily Bread prayer for a greater awareness of our need for God, prayer ourself as well as others
