  4. How does the Crestron Control Panel see the Asset? A tagged asset transmits a radio signal….. • invisible, noiseless signal always transmitting 24/7 • unaffected by environmental contaminants (dust, smoke, etc) • tag ID transmitted • tag transmit rates can be varied from 10 to 30 seconds • sensor data can also be transmitted (i.e., temperature) • signal security (encrypted, proprietary protocol) • tag choices (29) • tag security (age counter) • tagged asset security (motion, tamper)

  5. How does the Crestron Control Panel see the Asset? …..to a “Reader”…. • detects and decodes the transmitted RF signals • reader types • RS232/RS485 • Ethernet • Wireless (802.11b) • relays the decoded signal to the Crestron processor …..which displays the data on the Crestron Control Panel
