Aziz Zeria BA (Hons), MA, Dip Culture Management • Aziz has twenty years experience in arts, community and sports development. He has pioneered wide-ranging policies and programmes in this field specialising in Cultural Diversity, Disability arts, Social Inclusion and Education, through work with Arts Council, Sport England, Local Governments and a wide range of community, statutory and voluntary groups. • His range of skills and experience includes organisational capacity building, governance, audience development, policies, projects, cultural programmes, setting up networks, training and advocacy. • Aziz makes regular contributions to arts, culture and globalisation conferences and debates. His international links and networks in key creative industry agencies include South Asia, South Africa, Europe, Canada,Turkey and the USA.
Judy Yacoub MSc MIED • Judy has over 20 years of experience working within the voluntary, public and private sector specialising in community economic development and regeneration, including the design and management of a six year strategic capacity building programme underpinning the development of a community-led regeneration company. Her skills include: • Development of local and sub-regional cross-sectoral and community partnerships; winning and managing over £3.25m funding from a wide range of sources, programme management and innovative project ad enterprise development. • Judy has diverse and extensive experience as a freelance consultant in research, development of generic and bespoke training materials, business advice for BME women strategy development, organisational change, project and programme evaluation, diversity and community cohesion.
Nasir Bilal • Nasir has been an Educational Consultant across many regions in the UK • He has extensive experience of international project management especially within the voluntary sector and has worked all over the globe managing grant aid programmes for Muslim Aid. • He has been Training & Employer Adviser to New Deal • Delivers cultural awareness training to ES, training providers & chamber staff • Nasir is a multilinguist who can read, write and speak Urdu, English and Punjabi with the ability to communicate in Arabic and Turkish
Mandeep Samra Mandeep is a Consultant / Researcher who for the past 15 years has worked extensively on arts, media and community-based projects throughout Yorkshire including working with Comedia. Her Expertise include: • Focusing on the cultural sector and issues relating to diversity and regeneration • Specialising in intercultural work, exploring cultural identity and race • Research into the creative industries sector • Developing projects that encourage, profile and showcase local artists particularly artists from culturally diverse backgrounds • Creative development as a visual artist working with moving, sound and experimental new media artforms • We will revise the swimwear report and fwd it on as soon as possible.
Azmat Zeria Over the past fifteen years Azmat has worked extensively in community and education development with projects such as Sure Start. Her focus is to support partnership between communities and learners and development of sustainable models. Her achievements include: learners, especially women develop confidence and recognise abilities within themselves capacity building amongst local schools and educational set ups communities became more competent at handling their own projects Her other skills include business development, domestic violence and child development.
