ID50 ID50 – carriers can give ID50 from promo fares, but the trick is – then the fare conditions must follow the original fare rules. That’s why we are talking about unrestricted fares – ZED & ID fares do not have any restrictions.
Take a look at ISTA, page 18 B.3.g.ii – here is mentioned - • the booking, if made in the CRS of the Authorizing or Ticketing Airline, must have been made strictly in accordance with the Transporting Airline’s published rules as advised to the Authorizing Airline; and • The passenger has checked-in strictly in accordance with the TransportingAirline’s published rules. and
In Appendix Fares – Section D.3.a which is says: »ID50/IDMH Duty Travel or Cres Deadheading > Members may bilaterally agree to a 50% discount off the Transporting Airline's lowest applicable unrestricted or IDMH zonal fare for confirmed space travel in business or economy class« So – if the Transporting Airline does not have an unrestricted economy fare at all?Whatthen? Forexample, BT does not have. They use on TLLRIX only BU/ER/ERU & EOU.
We cannot add to ISTA any RBD because RBD structure and hierarchy is unique for every carrier. Some of them operate with incomplete structure (for example economy class without business class, structure without first class etc). What we can do is already mentioned in ista appendix concurrence form, for example Annex E -there can airlines bilaterally conclude all conditions for ID50/ID00 etc
What we can do is: • 1)mention unrestricted fares (or all these FTC-s like IATA mentioned - all above in case some carrier do not have unrestricted FTC-s in use) as a base for ID50 fares in ISTA. The idea is to refer to rules – no restrictions. Fare levels or RBDs we cannot determine – we cannot say W/E class– for EE it is economy excursion, for you E does not exist at all- IATA reso 728 says W/E – are premium economy class - you understand what I mean.. • Or • 2) Delete ID50 andonlyuse IDMH fares • ???????????????
