What is ? GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is an All India Examination used for admission in various post graduation programs, research organizations, and opportunities in several public sector enterprises. GATE is jointly conducted by IISC Bengaluru and 7 IITs namely Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee.
