It can be manually operated or automatically controlled. The machine adopts hydraulic transmission to complete the baling process. The baler adopts differential acceleration system, which increases the baling efficiency significantly. How Does a Hydraulic Metal Baler Work? The working process of our metal baler is accomplished cooperatively by the main machine, hydraulic station and electric control system. The working principle is as follows:

  2. Step One, Feed the Material After the pump is started, feed a moderate amount of scrap metal into the press box. Step Two, First Compress The high pressure oil enters the back cavity of the top cylinder. The piston rod reaches out, pressing the articulated door cover into the press box and closing it to form the compression chamber. Thus the first compress finishes. The height of the compression chamber is the height of the metal bale. Step Three, Second Compress The high pressure oil enters the back cavity of the side cylinder and the piston rod reaches out, driving the side pusher forward to press the metal in the box till reaching the front dead center. The second compress then finishes. Step Four, Third Compress The high pressure oil enters the back cavity of the main cylinder and the piston rod reaches out, driving the main pusher forward to press the metal in the box. When reaching the preset value of pressure, hold for 3-5 seconds and finish the final compress.

  3. Step Five, Reset the Top Cylinder The high pressure oil enters the front cavity of the top cylinder, lifting and opening the door cover. Step Six, Reset the Side Cylinder The high pressure oil enters the front cavity of the side cylinder and the side cylinder is reset. Step Seven, Reset the Main Cylinder The high pressure oil enters the front cavity of the main cylinder and the main cylinder is reset. Step Eight, Bale Out The high pressure oil enters the back cavity of the flip over cylinder, driving the turning mechanism to turn the bale out. Step Nine, Reset the Flip Over Cylinder

  4. Reset the flip over cylinder, and the baling process is completed. Feed the material and begin the next baling process. Different Bale Out Types * Side turning: the bale turns out of the press box in 90 degree. This is the most preferred type. The bale has clear corner angle. * Forward pushing: After the the main pusher pushes the bale forward out of the press box. This type is suitable for light materials. * Side pushing: the bale is pushed out of the press box from the side. The sliding track helps the bale move on board the truck or ship, saving labor.
