  1. Aggregation of primary meters as a single Supply Point

  2. Examples • A single premises may constitute a single Supply Point. • A single premises MUST meet the criteria of owned or occupied by one person and in close geographical proximity and within a common curtilage and serve each other in a useful way. Ownership & Occupation Geographical Proximity ü ü Public House and Landlord residing in upstairs flat , different service Buildings within the same site split only by a footpath û û Supermarket with a subsidiary operating on the same site but a different service Buildings within the same overall site but physically split by a main road.

  3. Examples Common Curtilage Serve Each Other ü ü School and caretakers cottage within the boundary of the school Swimming pool and Gym/Leisure centre, separate buildings but deemed to serve each other. û û University with a number of adjacent houses which it owns. The houses do not have common curtilage with each other. Swimming pool and Library cannot be deemed to serve each other – operate independently and provide different services

  4. Summary • A sample of 84 sites analysed ranging from 2 aggregated meter points to 25 across all AQ bands • For the purposes of this analysis DM’s have been treated as per NDM’s • Average annual saving 10.8% • Majority of savings as a result of WAR being higher than default load factor (not lower unit rate)

  5. Examples Disaggregation would actually lead to cheaper charges than currently. The MPAQ being significantly higher than the Peak Day SOQ which has been calculated using load factors Aggregating the Meter Points has significantly reduced the annual charge. This is due to the WAR of circa 70% leading to a much reduced Peak Day SOQ. The same reduced charge would be attainable if regular (monthly) reads were submitted.
