  3. Context • KANATA EXSOFT Inc is a small company in Ottawa. It offers mobile web application development and system architecture. • More and more customers recently reported their web application responds slower than before, update delay, and the maintenance of server costs much more.

  4. Goals • A reliable Cloud Computing tool. • Transfer current application to Cloud Computing tool to help manage the growing requirement. • The tool must be easy to installation and to use • It must ensure acceptable performance and host the database • Host cost must be considered carefully

  7. Evaluation Criteria • Server Dashboard Functions • Performance • Security Configuration • Simplicity of installation/configuration

  8. Methodology • The three-tier application is a simulated database management site. The respond performance will be tested by integrating measure tools. The database access ability will be test with functions, like as add, delete, and update records. • Although two tools is not free, the testing can be done for Microsoft provide free three months trial vision and Amazon has a free usage tier.

Presentation and evaluation • Simplicity of installation/configuration • Microsoft Windows Azure is integration into MS .NET framework and application will be affected. • Amazon AWS Cloud provides implementation with an extremely flexible way based on different operation system, such as UNIX, Windows, and others.

  13. Summary • Amazon is evaluated higher than Microsoft by 12.60%.
