ZieleObjectives • Berufspolitisch: ErzieherInnen gemäß ihrer bildungs- und sozialpolitischen Bedeutung aufwerten Occupational: revaluation of early years workers in relation to their level of training and importance of their social contribution • Tarifpolitisch: breite Akzeptanz und Solidarität für bessere Entlohnung Bewußtsein für hohe Berufsanforderung  Forderung: neue verbesserte Eingruppierung und tarifliche Regelung zur Gesundheitsförderung Pay policy: broad acceptance of and solidarity in support of better pay and recognition of heavy demands of job Demand: new improved pay grading and collective regulation of health promotion • Organisationspolitisch: ver.di als für ErzieherInnen kompetente Gewerkschaft erkennbar machen • Trade union organisation: get recognition of ver.di as the effective trade union for child care staff

Phase: Sensibilisierung der Öffentlichkeit Public awareness campaign • Großflächenplakate / Fahrgast-TV • Advertising hoardings/transport TV • Erste Elterninformationen (in den Kitas: Gespräche mit Eltern und Elternvertretungen) • Initial information provided to parents (in nurseries – discussions with parents and representatives of parents) • Einrichten der Homepage: www.chancen-foerdern.de • Setting up of website: • „promoting opportunities“

Phase Begleitung der Tarifverhandlungen durch Mitglieder Members followed the collective bargaining process • Beratungsgruppe zur Begleitung der Verhandlungen (ca. 30 Fachkräfte) Advisory group to accompany the negotiations (around 30 experts) • Drei bundesweite Streikdelegiertenkonferenzen (250 TeilnehmerInnen) Three nationwide conferences of representatives of strikers (250 participants • ErzieherInnen und SozialarbeiterInnen in der Verhandlungskommission Early learning and social workers took part in the negotiating committee

Phase: Tarifabschluss und Auswertung Pay agreement and revaluation • Tarifvertrag zur betrieblichen Gesundheitsförderung in weiten Teilen erreicht! • Reached agreement on many elements of workplace health promotion • Umsetzung in den Betrieben nächste Herausforderung Next challenge is implementation at the workplace • Erstellung von unterstützenden Materialien für Mitglieder Production of supporting information for members • Einstieg in Aufwertung der Bezahlung erreicht! • Initial revaluation of pay • Erwartungen waren höher – expectations were higher • Gewinner sind die Neueingestellten – new recruits are main winners • Aufwertung sozialer Berufe muss Ziel bleiben! – Aim is still to achieve revaluation of social occupations  Kampagne „Chancen fördern“ geht weiter Continue with „promoting opportunities“ campaign
