’98 ASCRS SURVEY CONCLUSIONS • LASIK is the fastest growing refractive procedure amongst ASCRS U.S. surgeons • High volume refractive surgeons prefer LASIK over PRK • Bilateral simultaneous surgery is accepted and preferred for LASIK > RK >>PRK • VisX Star preferred 3:1 over all other lasers • Hansatome is the preferred microkeratome; Moria increasing DUFFEY 1999
