Top 10 best Virtual Tour Software UPDATED 2021 Regardless if you are a photographer, real estate agent, architect, hobbyist or student — if you are looking at making virtual tours, one of the most important tools of your new hobby/job is the software you need to create your virtual tours. Choosing the right virtual tour software for your needs is important, because once you have chosen the one you will work with, you will most likely stick with it. The below list of virtual tour software is updated for 2021 and includes only software that we know is currently maintained and upgraded regularly and has enough users to be considered a stable & strong software. We start with a “quick list” and further down in this document you will find the prices and reviews for the top 5 on this list in a handy comparison guide to help you decide which software is best for you and your team! Here’s the quick list in order of most popular: 1. My360Tours 2. 3D Vista
3. Kuula 4. Cupix 5. Matterport 6. Eyespy360 7. Cloudpano 8. Lapentor 9. Pano2VR 10. Seekbeak Now I hear you ask… isn’t Matterport the most popular virtual tour software out there? And you would be right, if you were a 3D photographer with clients that pay over 3000 euro per virtual tour! There are many aspects that make a 360 software more popular and below you can see the comparison between the top 5 using their PRO packages. We excluded the “basic” standard features as all of these software have those features anyway (hotspots, videos, audio, pop-ups etc) so we only focussed on the “good stuff”. What is the “decision maker” in most cases.
Conclusion The My360 software came out on nr1 because of the many options it has for each individual profession or person at the most reasonable price. It has special accounts for professional photographers, real estate agents, architects or interior designers, showrooms and dealerships and even schools and education. This way, if you are a real estate agent you don’t see any unnecessary options you were never going to use. For example a dealership won’t see the options you would typically see in a real estate account, such as publishing to a real estate portal or having a property locations map.
Pricing My360 is also the most cost effective. On first glance you may think that with a monthly price of 39€ per month they are more expensive than say Kuula or Cloudpano’s basic packages, but then when you look further you will find they offer a unique “hosting only” package, which you can easily switch to when you are not making any tours for a while. This means, you don’t pay for the software when you don’t use it, but your tours will still stay live. None of the other software providers offered this option as far as we could see, and this makes My360 one of the most cost effective software out there. Features My360 has all the standard features you would expect from a 360º software. And though it does not have 3D mapping or a dollhouse feature like you see in Matterport or Cupix, they are currently developing a similar 3D system which will be released in 2021. Support: My360 offers live chat support 7 days per week, and when put to the test, they really were answering their chat almost immediately each time we needed to ask a question. Outside of support hours (10AM to 10PM) they were equally quick to answer emails so we felt that we were really looked after as virtual tour company. For Schools & Universities
My360 has a special account for Education, where schools, nurseries, universities and campuses can create a 1-off virtual tour of their building(s) for the yearly price of just 39€! This means for this low fee, they can create tours of their buildings, properties and area of the university, really helping to promote their educational facilities — especially handy during these trying times of Covid, where no one’s allowed out anymore! Since the price of this account is so low, My360 does check to make sure you are actually a school or educational institution so no cheating! (trust us, we learned the hard way!) For Estate Agents: My360 has a part of their virtual tour software dedicated to Estate Agents which allow you to feed the tours directly into your website with 1 click on the button, publish them to some great portals including their own free portal, add some great call to actions such as a forcing of contact forms (generating leads) an agent card with direct links to your website, social media, phone number and email and the chat & video conference feature. It has really thought things through and seems to tick all the boxes for estate agents who don’t have a lot of time to build tours. Adding your details to the default account settings will save you tons of time. You can create your tours and publish them everywhere on the web in minutes. For the PRO’s:
If you are a professional photographer, though My360 does not offer the Dollshouse or 3D tours like Matterport does, it does have all the other features, such as publishing your virtual tours to Google Street View (they do everything for you! Bonus! ), having multiple logins for your staff or partners, allowing multiple logos and branding and another feature we could not find anywhere else is that they have a “default account setting” feature where you just set your “default “ colours, logos, functions, hotspots, transitions etc, and you can overwrite those settings on our individual virtual tour if you have to. This was such a time saver, it was a real eye- opener! As a PRO photographer you can really expand your business with My360. Their back-office interface has been thought through and designed so you can create multi-level staff account with limited access that you can control from your main account, thus keeping an eye on your team. This will also allow you to give access to an editor for example, someone who will edit your images, or make your tours for you while you shoot and upload your images. It’s been designed to save time, and it works! Of course all of the above virtual tour software options offer a free trial, so we strongly suggest you try them all, for us, it was a great experience as we did put them all through their paces and can honestly say that My360, though not the largest company out there, it is definitely the most popular and diverse software we have seen online.
Cheerio folks! See you again in a few weeks when we compare 360º cameras, and find out the best option to start with in your new Virtual Tour Adventure!
