  3. Work Experience In Grade 10: • CBL 10 - 3 job shadow days - 25 hours of volunteering - 75+ hours of career exposure In Grade 11 and 12: • Cooperative Education #1 – 100 hours • Cooperative Education #2 – 100 hours • Cooperative Education #3 – 100 hours

  4. Career Exposure • Career Cruising and Interest Surveys • Workplace Visits on Field Trips • Career Fairs • Resume, cover letter, interview skills • Guest Speakers

  11. Cohort Model • 20-23 students • 2 courses together each semester in grades 10, 11 and 12 * • Same group stays together until graduation • Teamwork skills are essential 

  12. Credentialing • First Aid/CPR • WHMIS • Passport to Safety • OHS • Food Handler’s Safety Course • Fall Arrest/ Scaffolding

  13. Hands-On Learning • Some classes use many more hands on learning opportunities than ‘regular’ classes • Use of technology – netbooks • Many experiential field trips (outdoor survival, camping, Skills Canada competitions…)

  14. Come for a test drive! • There will be two days in February where you can come to Citadel for one day to try out O2. The day will be mostly hands-on with sessions of carpentry, building, baking and cooking. • Different groups include an all girls group, an academic math group and a foundations math group.
