  1. Tanzania Migration Safari

  2. Being the home of Africa’s most famous national parks, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro and uncountable beautiful natural diversities, Tanzania is a hot spot in every tourist map. Every year a huge pack of foreign visitors come here to enjoy these jaw-dropping Mother Nature scenes through different wildlife viewing safaris. For those who want to take a break from our concrete building filled jungles and spend some time in between amazing views of nature, this country will be an excellent choice for a trip of lifetime.

  3. However, apart from all scenic views and excellent cultural diversities, Tanzania is famous for one more thing and that is the annual wildebeest migration which takes place in between Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve and counted as one of the most spectacular wildlife events on our planet. During the Great Wildebeest Migration, approximately 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebra and 200,000 gazelles, which makes a total of over 2 million migrating animals migrates from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve in a great herd.

  4. The great migration starts from early December to move into the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In Mid February (which is also the calving season for wildebeest) approximately 8,000 wildebeest are born every day for a period of approximately 3 weeks. From April to May, the herd migrates north to the plains of the central Serengeti. The wildebeest migration viewing period in Tanzania is during June and July. The migration continues moving northwards during July and August heading through Grumeti Reserve and Ikorongo through the heart of the Serengeti National Park. In September, the herd reaches the Mara River, which provides the migration with its most serious obstacle. The huge herd of wildebeest migration crossing the crocodile filled Mara River can be very spectacular view for any tourist. By October the wildebeest herd returns to the Serengeti National Park's Lobo area, which follow the rains on the short-grass plains of the southern Serengeti in November.

  5. The great wildebeest migration continues throughout year. It depends on you when you want to visit this country to enjoy this amazing playground of wildlife.
