Beach Time No trip to the Gold Coast is complete without checking out some of the local beaches. While Surfers Paradise is among the most famous sandy spots in Australia, the area boasts several others, like Main Beach, Broadbeach or Mermaid Beach.
And, when you're tired of swimming, playing in the sand, or surfing, you can always hit up some of the nearby restaurants, bars and ice cream shops. Theme Park Adventures If you're looking for super fun Gold Coast activities for kids, the area is home to theme parks of various themes.
If you love exhilarating rides, Dreamworld has a motorbike rollercoaster, offers helicopter rides, and several other fun things to do. It's also a great place to see some of the local wildlife, as is Sea World, where visitors have the chance to swim with dolphins. Movie World has unique, movie themed rides, while the Wet 'n Wild Water Park's wave pool is a blast for all ages. The Aussie farm theme park is also a hit for those who love animals.
