Consumer Perception of Mobile Advertising Values and their Attitude Towards Mobile Advertising in Anambra State, Nigeria

The study examined if there was relationship between consumer attitude towards mobile advertising and their perception of the informativeness, entertainment, credibility and irritativeness of mobile ads. The questionnaire was used to gather the primary data from of 400 mobile phone GSM users in Onitsha metropolis, Anambra State, Nigeria selected through non probability sampling method. The frequency tables, percentages and Spearman's correlation coefficient were used to analyse the data. The results indicated that entertainment, informativeness, and credibility of mobile advert value leads to 66.9 , 67.6 , and 66.7 positive effect respectively on the consumer attitude towards mobile advertising while irritation leads to 15.7 negative effect on the consumer attitude towards mobile advertising. The study further posit that informativeness 67.6 is the most important factor that impacts on consumers perceptions, followed by entertainment 66.9 , credibility 66.7 , and then irritation 15.7 . The study recommended that marketers need to i ensure that messages are sent to consumers at a reasonable time during the day based on consumers' preference. Messages should be sent in suitable amount so as to avoid interruption and disturbance to consumers ii seek ways to increase the level of entertainment pleasurable experience that can be derived from SMS advertisements. Women Empowerment Through Cooperative In Anambra State. A Study Of Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State Niger

The study evaluated how Cooperatives could be used to empower women in Awka South local Government Area of Anambra State. The researcher used Frequency distribution table and percentage to turn the qualitative characteristic into numerical forms. Likert scale analysis was used to examine the perception of member on how cooperative services have brought about an enhancement to their economic well being as represented by income. Further analysis was under taken to measure the effects of cooperative services such as credit extension, input supply, marketing, processing agricultural production on their income. To accomplish this, a multiple regression analysis was employed. Evidence from the study revealed that educational level has marginal contribution of 317.032 with a t ratio of 2.009 which is significant at 5 level of significance. Family size has marginal contribution of 854.265 with t ratio of 1.682 which is significant at 1 level of significance. The value of agricultural product marketed through women cooperative has a marginal contribution of .977. The t value is 23.728 which are significant at 1 level. This result also shows that marketing through cooperative is positively related to income of the members. The value of agricultural product processed through women cooperative has a marginal contribution of .008. The t value is 1.346 which is highly significant at 1 and 5 level of probability. This result also shows that value of processed product is positively related to income, as the processed product increases, income increases. The amount of input procured has a marginal contribution of .173. The t value is 4.037 which are highly significant at 1 . Thus there is a high degree contribution of input procured by the members of women cooperative to their income. This result also shows that input has a positive relationship with income that is as the amount of input increases, income level increases. Thus input is relatively significant determinant of income of women cooperative societies in Awka south. In spite of the contributions cooperatives in empowering women in the study area, evidence from the study revealed that cooperatives were constrained by many challenges. In order to strengthen cooperatives improve on the services they provide to their members, Government should aid those women cooperative by providing them with loans and grants as fund is the life wire of any business. Cooperative should encourage and ensure that the cooperative extension officers in the area carry out their duties efficiently and effectively so as to encourage those women cooperative in the rural area. Determinants of Savings Among Members of Cooperative Societies in Anambra State, Nigeria

This study examines the determinants of savings among members of cooperative societies in Anambra state. Specifically, it provides empirical evidence on the socio economic characteristics of members of the co operatives and ascertains which of the socio economic characteristics significantly determine savings mobilization among members of the cooperative groups. It also ascertained the range of savings of the members of the cooperative groups and identified the cooperative members' reasons for saving. Data for the study were obtained from 100 cooperative members with the aid of well structured questionnaires through a simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Results obtained showed that on the average the members saved N12, 241.57 every month. The average monthly savings is encouraging considering the fact that their monthly income is low. The major reasons for saving as indicated by the respondents include Security, Statutory as Cooperative Member, Investment and to obtain Loans. This is obtained from their mean statistics of 4.00, 3.87, 3.53 and 3.00 respectively. The R2 value of 0.916 obtains indicates that about 91.6 of observed variation in savings by farmers could be attributed to the combined influence of the various independent variables included in the regression equation. The F statistic with 95.342 was significant at 0.000 levels of significance. There is a significant variation in the range of savings of the members of the cooperative groups. Socio economic characteristics of members significantly determine the savings of members of cooperative societies in the state. Based on the analysis and findings of this study, the researcher therefore recommends that To increase the farmers' savings potentials, saving should be made statutory as cooperative member. The members should also be encouraged to invest more no matter how small. It is good to save but members should have predefined reasons before saving to enable them make judicious use of whatever amount saved. There is the need to improve the livelihood strategies of the farmers to bridge the noticeable gap that exist in the farmers' savings range. Effect of E Taxation on Revenue Generation in Anambra State

This study assessed the effect of e taxation on revenue generation in Anambra state. Specifically, the study intends to examine the effect of e taxation on tax revenue generation in Anambra state determine whether the adoption of e taxation has reduced tax malpractice in Anambra state and ascertain the tax revenue improved based on the e taxation adoption in Anambra state. Survey design was employed. Data collected were analyzed and one sample t test was used to test the formulated hypotheses. The study found that E taxation has effect on tax revenue generation in Anambra state and adoption of e taxation has reduced tax malpractice in Anambra state. Another finding is that tax revenue has improved based on the adoption of e taxation in Anambra state. Based on this, the researchers recommended among others that well equipped database on tax payers should be established by the governments with the aim of identifying all possible sources of income of tax payers for tax purpose. Determinants of Farmers' Inclination towards Cooperative Membership in Anambra State, Nigeria

The study evaluated the determinants of farmers' inclination towards membership of cooperative societies in Anambra State, Nigeria. Specifically, the study determined the influence of farmer socio economic background the influence of farmer awareness of agricultural cooperative benefits and influence of farm input, credit, and marketed farm produce on cooperative membership inclination. Primary data were obtained from a sample of 368 farmers from four communities in the four agricultural zones of Anambra State. Descriptive statistics such as frequency distribution tables, percentages, mean and standard deviation were employed to present data. Multiple regression analysis was adopted in the analysts and tests of three formulated hypotheses. The study outcome revealed that farmer's socio economic background had a significant influence on cooperative membership inclination F ratio of 28.502 was Significant@ 0.000 farmer's awareness of benefits of agricultural cooperatives constitutes significant influence on cooperative membership inclination F ratio of 900.231 was Significant@ 0.000 quantum of farm input, credit, and marketed farm crops by farmer constitutes significant influence on cooperative membership inclination F ratio of 5.354 was Significant @ 0.001 . The study recommends, among others, that government can improve the awareness about the benefits of agricultural cooperatives in the area region by giving more focus to knowledge and awareness based instruments like education, information center, rural associations, communication services and roads. Teachers' Perception of Teaching Family Life Education in Public Secondary Schools in Anambra State

this study determined teachers' perception of teaching family life education in secondary schools in Anambra State. The study was anchored on Social Learning Theory SLT . A descriptive survey design was used for this study. The population of the study comprised 2700 teachers drawn from the state public secondary schools in the six education zones in Anambra State. The sample size was 810 teachers drawn from 257 schools in the selected zones. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Face and content validity techniques were used in validating the instrument while Cronbach Alpha method was used in reliability test and a coefficient of 0.85 was obtained. T test was used to test the hypotheses formulated at 0.05 level of significance. The result indicated that the difference in male and female teachers' perception regarding teaching family life education was significant and that the difference in the mean rating of male and female teachers' perception of the contents of the curriculum on family life education was also significant. It was therefore concluded that teachers in secondary schools in Anambra State perceive that family life education be taught. But that the teaching of family life education in secondary schools in Anambra state was hampered by various factors, including insecurity of parents, lack of training, religion and culture. Sequel to this, it was recommended that family life education should be taught from Junior Secondary School to Senior Secondary and the best ways of encouraging interest and commitment to this subject need to be devised.
