CASEY FAMILY PROGRAMS: COMMUNITY OF HOPE MISSION The mission of the Johnson County Community of Hope (JCOH) is to utilize the compassion, skills and resources of the community to strengthen our families and improve child and family well-being. To achieve this mission, our work will focus on increasing opportunities for children to safely remain in their own home, return safely to their homes as soon as possible, or be part of another safe and permanent family relationship. LONG TERM GOAL Reduce the number of children in out of home care, and the number of Dependency, Neglect and Abuse cases through prevention and treatment, with an emphasis on addressing substance abuse issues. .

Provides planning and coordination of services, client advocacy, support-outreach, skill building, and crisis prevention.

Community of Hope Treatment Center mcccJCCOH PARTNERSHIP • PROVIDES INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT, SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FIVE DAYS A WEEK AT THE CENTER. • 2 PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST CERTIFIED, TREATMENT THREAPIST AND DIRECTOR • REFERRALS ARE GENERATED FROM FAMILY COURT & DCBS (CHILDREN AT RISK OF REMOVAL OR CURRENTLY RESIDING IN OOHC) CAREGIVER EXHIBITING SUBSTANCE ABUSE ISSUES • Community of Hope Treatment Center has established a women’s NA support group • Job coach KWP/Big sandy ADD

JOHNSON COUNTY LIBRARY MEMBER OF JCCOH & MENTORING COMMITTEE JCCOH FUNDED PROGRAM *Group mentoring through prevention and education programs teaching practical and creative life skills, such as parenting, self defense, budgeting, first aid, arts, crafts, etc. *Programs incorporate library resources as well as resources and professionals from community partners, including Johnson County Health Department, UK Cooperative Extension, FRYSCs, and Protection and Advocacy. *142 individuals served last quarter

JIM CASEY COMMUNITIES OF HOPE AWARD • Congratulations again on being selected as a recipient of the Jim Casey Building Communities of Hope Award which will be presented at our Annual Meeting this coming January.  The story of what you do, how you do it and what put you on this path is inspirational and Casey Family Programs wants to share that inspirational story.
