FAQs Q. Wait. Anyone can change Google Maps? A. Yes. Anyone signed in with a Google Account can change the map. But everything goes through review by a team of Googlers and mappers with local knowledge. Q. How long does it take for my changes to show up on Google Maps? A. Once approved, it takes minutes. It may take anywhere from an hour to a few days to approve your edit, depending on the complexity of it. Q. Can anyone review? A. Yes. Anyone can review, but whether a change gets published depends on how trusted the mapper and reviewer(s) are and how sensitive the map data being changed is. Reviewing others changes will get your changes reviewed more quickly, too.
