Yonamine (Carleton, KEK, Saclay) LCTPC WP Phone Meeting #71, 26 November 2008 • Large Prototype TPC • Cosmic ray data • First beam events • Schedule Micromegas module
Large Prototype TPC Optical fiber Micromegas module
Beam trigger Micromegas module
Cosmic ray data • Vmesh = - 360 V = Vanode • Vcathode ~ - 12 740 V, Icathode ~ 61 μA • Gas monitoring (flow, overpressure, 02, H20) • 02~ 40 ppm, H20 ~ 20 ppm • Rate ~ 0.7 Hz using the 3 triggers • Different shaping ( 100 ns < peaking time < 2 μs) • ~ 400 000 events Micromegas module
Last night cosmic ray data • Peaking time : 1 μs • Time bin : 40 ns • Gas mixture : Ar/CF4/Iso (95:3:2) Micromegas module
Last night cosmic ray data Peaking time: 1 μs Micromegas module
Last night cosmic ray data Peaking time: 200 ns Micromegas module
First beam events • Peaking time : 1 μs Ee- = 5 GeV • Time bin : 40 ns • Gas mixture : Ar/CF4/Iso (95:3:2) Micromegas module
First beam events Micromegas module
TPC position for beam test ~7.7° Micromegas module
Schedule • Beam available at 5:30 pm (night shift?) • Tomorrow (afternoon), replace the standard Micromegas module to resistive Micromegas Module (~ 3h) • As soon as possible, mount the safety valve and start to cool the PCMAG • First beam tests with the magnet at B = 0T and then B = 1T should be possible beginning of next week • Software analysis will continue with the help of Yun Ha Shin (Carleton) Micromegas module
