In that order, he has shared some tips from his experience to help the novices with upgrading their skills at skiing: The first step is to buy a season’s pass as it allows one to ski at a location as many times as they want. Even though obtaining a pass can be a bit expensive, it is worth it as it enables beginners to focus on mastering a specific set of trails. This doesn’t only allow the new skiers to ski for multiple days in a row on the same trails, but also to enjoy the views and trade tips with other skiers. He advises the novices to go slow as skiing too quickly on a trail can prevent them from focusing on learning the right techniques. Not just that, it may also lead to more frequent crashes, which lower self- confidence and slow down the learning progress. According to Pieter Stalenhoef, you should learn to control your skis instead of letting those control you and the key to ski control is leaning forward. While this may feel a bit scary for some time, it centers the skiers’ gravity and allows them to take greater control of their skis.
