Pieter Stalenhoef Wants to Ensure an Enjoyable Skiing Experience for Everyone Pieter Stalenhoefis an alumnus of the Boston University’s Graduate School of Management who is counted among the most experienced investment management experts in the region, thanks to his experience of more than 20 in the financial industry. As of now, he is working in the position of a Financial Planner for a firm called Highland Financial Group. In addition to being a seasoned professional, Pieter Stalenhoef is an aspiring novelist who also enjoys skiing in the little time he
spares from work. He considers it to be a rewarding form of exercise that can be quite challenging for beginners but having the right mindset, tools, and equipment, in his opinion, is very important for anyone to become a skilled skier. Pieter has also listed a few tips from his experience that can help novices in boosting their skiing skills. These are: 1.Buy a season’s pass, so you can ski at one location as many times as you want. Though obtaining a pass can be a bit expensive, it definitely is worth it as it enables beginners to focus on mastering a specific set of trails. This way, new skiers can ski for multiple days in a row on the same trails and can even enjoy the views and trade tips with other skiers. 2.Don’t push yourself too hard. Skiing too quickly on a trail can prevent novices from focusing on learning the right techniques. In addition to that, it can lead to more frequent
crashes, which lower self-confidence and slow down the learning progress. 3.Learn to control your skis instead of letting those control you. The key to ski control is leaning forward. While this may feel scary at first, it centers a skier’s gravity and allows new skiers to take greater control of their skis. Pieter Stalenhoef wants skiing to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience for everyone.
