  9. Summary Knowledge of the internal brain anatomy is the most important part of training in neuroscience and is essential for solving clinical problems. It is learned best by repeated studying of internal structures on the serial sections of the spinal cord, brainstem, and forebrain, and by relating structures to their functions. Visual orientation to structures as well as functional knowledge of internal anatomy are essential and are the basis for overall understanding of brain structures and their relation to clinical symptoms.
