  1. History • In 1975, Faculty of Commerce in Beni Suef City was established as one of the faculties affiliated with Cairo University. • In 1976, a presidential decree was issued considering Beni Suef branch as an independent branch of Cairo University. • In 2005, a presidential decree No.84 announced the establishment of Beni Suef University. • It comprises the following faculties: Commerce – Law – Veterinary Medicine – Sciences – Arts – Industrial Education – Pharmacy – Medicine – Nursing – Physical Education - Engineering. • .Since 1981, Beni Suef University has graduated 62321 students.

Strategic goals University seeks to achieve its mission through the followings • Continuous development of educational and postgraduate programs to cope with the requirements of the present time and lead to graduate well qualified students. • Effective use of the available and renewable University facilities to promote the scientific and practical levels of the graduates and sustain the development of societal services. • Updating the level of University administrative system by turning it into electronic one to connect not only the University ‘s faculties together but also with other national , regional and international educational associations. • Providing new prominent educational programs and institutes to enable the University to achieve self-reliance. • Establishing specialized scientific centers for effective training and societal service which strengthen the cultural progress. • Creating an atmosphere of excellence and innovation and deepening noble values that maintain the fabric of society, national loyalty, ideal examples, and good ethics. • Promoting community on scientific grounds and resolving its problems that impede success through directed research projects

Youssef, the University president signed an agreement betweenBeni-SuefUniversityand theUniversityofMiguel Hernándezd'Elx,Spain. The agreement includes student exchanges and the exchange of researchers, as well as joint scientific projects. Professor Khalid Abdou, the coordinator of the Convention on the Egyptian side, signed the initial agreement.Agreement between theBeni-SuefUniversityand the University ofAegean, GreeceProf. M . M.Yousef, University president signed an agreement between theBeni-SuefUniversityand the University of Aegean, Greece. The agreement includes students and researcher exchanges as well as joint research projects. The Greek side will provide technical support to under the umbrella of the European Union. Agreement between theBeni-SuefUniversityand the Lyone UniversityFranceProf. M . M.Yousef, University president signed an agreement between the Faculty of education-Beni-Suef University and the Lyon University France.French course will be held on 28/62009 for two months to french departmentstudents(first and second year students). The course will be given by two French languagetrainer from Lyon Univ.and held in Faculty of education-Beni-Suef university.

Campus • In 1976, the presidential decree was issued considering Beni Suef branch as an independent branch of Cairo University. • Finally, the presidential decree N.184 dated in 2005 was issued to establish Beni Suef University. • Beni Suef University is an institution of higher education located inBeni-Suefcity, Egypt.The main campus is located in the enterance of the city and contains Faculties of Commerce, Law, Arts and Sciences. • It also include the University adminstration buiding,Central library, University press Unit as well as University Open Education Center.Faculties of Engineering, industerial education and physical education are located in the eastern Nile Beni-Suef. • Faculties of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Education are located in the nearby of the main campus.New Beni-Suef University Capmus will be allocated an area of 300 acres in the eastern Nile Beni-suef seriousness of the future expansions.
