Why Use a Plan • You can organize activities in two ways • Activity by Activity • By a Teaching Plan • The advantage of the teaching Plan is that it saves you a lot of work • The activity method allows you to create very specific tasks for students
Planning • What you want to teach and when formulates a plan • Some school districts give schools a model plan • Some countries have a model plan • Some schools teach using a textbook • This has a scope and sequence that it uses as a plan
Teaching Using a Plan • A plan is a set of objectives • To achieve the objectives students engage in the activities • These are linked to the objectives
Standard Plans • System Plans are already assigned to each standard class • These vary form country to country • These already have all the activities linked to them • You can edit the plans • You can edit the activity links • However, starting with the system plans saves you a lot of work
Changing Plans • You can change a plan • For example you can select a publisher plan to be your plan • You can create your own plan from the beginning • If your school district has a standard plan we can add it to the system
Set Ups • The activities are organized in set ups • Easy • Standard • Standard (Timed) • Hard • Hard (Timed) • You can edit set ups or create your own • There is also a Review set up which you can use to try the activity
Personalized Learning • The plan is the same for each group in a class • Change the objective in one group it changes in another • However, activity set up assigned to a group will vary • One group might do the Hard set up • Another the easy
