LtCol Armando Gonzalez is a resourceful military officer with more than twenty-eight of experience. He is skilled in supply chain management, data management, logistics management, and cost management. He holds a Master’s of Science degree in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego, San Diego, CA. and also has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Chapman University, Orange, CA.
Presently, he serves as a staff officer with Marine Aircraft Group 13, Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ. He provides executive level staff support to the commander, oversees installation logistics functions covering supply, facilities, transportation, and more. Prior to this, he served as Commanding Officer, Marine Wing Support Squadron 371, Yuma, AZ. There, he directed logistics personnel in maintenance operations, supply and inventory control, and engineering functions. Prior to these assignments, he has served as Europe Region Desk Officer at Headquarters US Marine Corps, Washington DC.
Armando Gonzalez has also served as the USMC Representative to Colombia, Bogota, Colombia; before serving in Colombia, he was as an executive officer and operations officer at the MWSS 373, San Diego, CA. His last ten years also include an assignment with Expeditionary Strike Group 3 where he served as an assistant logistics officer. Owing to his skills and dedication, he has received several awards and recognitions throughout his career.
In the year 2006, Armando was part of a team that received the Admiral Stanley R. Arthur for Logistics Excellence for the Evacuation of U.S. Citizens from Lebanon through Cyprus.
