Ad Hoc Fort Ward Management Plan Implementation Monitoring Group Meeting

This meeting will discuss follow-up items from the previous meeting, provide updates on stormwater management and related archeology at Fort Ward, discuss the interpretative planning process and oral history project, and provide an update on park area maintenance and enhancements. The meeting schedule and next meeting date will also be discussed.

Park Area Maintenance /Enhancements • Tree trimming and dead tree removal continues • Tree stump removal to start 1/25 • No stump removal in historical and archeological sites • CIP funded projects for spring: • Plant 24 new native trees • Install ADA compliant picnic tables and pathways • Resurface loop road • All work per approved Fort Ward Plan and coordinated with OHA • Public and stakeholder group notifications
